On March 25, 2012 By

If you are successful, some people aren’t going to like you.

Some people don’t like you because you make them fell bad about not being more ambitious themselves.

Some people don’t like you because you were chosen over them for raises or promotions.

Some people don’t like you because of your gender, color, creed, national [...]

You wake up in the morning happy.

On March 12, 2012 By

Because they are old.

Because they are old, they are going away soon.

When these old people leave, you can take their place.

If you are young, you should smile when you see old people.

Today, I was looking at the annual review issue of the New England Real Estate Journal.  Everybody looked old to [...]

You get a first job anywhere and you are the newbie.   You do the grunt work.

Remember Lloyd on Entourage.  Lloyd’s character had a master’s degree in business from Stanford and worked for years as a “coolie” for Ari who headed the largest talent agency in Hollywood.

Think of the Hollywood agency system.  Everyone [...]

For many men, enough with the $60 “uni-sex styling salons.”  Just give me a hair cut.  Barbers shops with $15 haircuts are coming back.

We have a new barber shop in town.

It is empty.  It is completely empty.  There are NO customers.  Day after day, I see the sole barber sitting alone re-reading the [...]
